Wowie, Maui.

I wanted to share some love with you before the month of February escapes us. Where does time go?!

We have been managing to stay quite busy with our 7-2 jobs (ya gotta be able to enjoy these Hawaiian afternoons and sunsets…we love getting to end a bit early!) and throwing in some adventure here and there.

Our next visitors were a few favorites of ours- the I’s! We got to have my in-laws on Oahu a few days and then we got whisked away to Maui after enjoying a lovely, long weekend with them. Pure joy! Now it’s time to share the details and some photos from our fun time together.

We (surprisingly) had a no-tear reunion at the Honolulu airport…okay fine, I cried a little😉 After all, it’s been since October. We started the evening on a high note, literally! I booked us a table at Sarento’s Top of the I that boasts some great ocean and city views surrounding Waikiki. They’re known for being able to see the city’s beachfront fireworks…it was an interestingly decorated (and fun) spot for some drinks and tasty Italian treats!

Our Waikiki weekend turned torrentially soggy on Saturday. Don’t worry, we didn’t let the weather get us down. The first thing on the agenda was to find brunch in town…oh, did we stumble upon the most perfect place. Heavenly is just about the cutest, most scrumptious cafe around…thank you Yelp. Cheers!

Kash and Ib wanted to head over to Pearl Harbor so it was the perfect opportunity to do so. I got to brush up on my history for when I take out my Segway tours for my job. The USS Arizona was unfortunately closed due to the rain, but overall the grounds are a stunning memorial and a must-see for anyone coming to Oahu.

North Shore vibes were the next stop, and what John and I get most excited about when we’re lucky enough to have visitors. It is truly one of our favorite places in this world, and why we decided to make the move. There is something extremely rewarding about showing our family and friends where “home” is and letting them into our new community.

We decided to take the scenic route and drive up the east side of the island, which yields spectacular ridge lines and coastal waters. Our first stop was brunch at Haliewa Joe’s in Kaneohe. We’ve heard the open air restaurant sits atop gorgeous gardens, and boy did our experience not disappoint. Brunch was delicious, and the views and company were even better.

We enjoyed the sunshine together at Turtle Bay for a few days- complete with hikes, good eats, and stopping at all of our favorite spots. We capped off the long weekend with massages, a family Segway tour, and an amazing Valentine’s dinner at Pa’akai. If you ever stay at Turtle Bay Resort, it offers the best sunset views around with fine dining that is sure to leave you with a full stomach and smile on your face.

Next stop: Maui. One of my absolute favorite places! We were so excited to have a few more days together, after Kash and Ib explored the Big Island. We met upon arrival at the airport and headed to the Fairmont Kea Lani. Ahhhmazing hotel, staff, and experience all around! Highly recommend to all who are looking to stay in the Wailea area 😎🌊

The only glitch (aka convenient for us!) was that our room wasn’t ready for a few extra hours…that meant one thing: time for Maui Brewing Co.! One of our favorite breweries ever, and a stop that we loved when we visited for our honeymoon 🍻

We took the same picture, just a year and a half later 😉❤ I just love doing life with you!

Our other days were a perfect combination of relaxation and exploration. We tried some local eats (shout out to The Pint and Cork!) and worked on our tan by the pool. John wanted to do the Road to Hana again so we ventured around the island for 8 hours seeing all of the sights. An always beautiful, but super exhausting day. That’s why they put a winery at the end of your journey! 🍷

Each day was not complete without a scrumptious dinner on property. Both restaurants were delicious, but Ko took the cake for us! Our final evening we opted for a fabulous fun dessert. Watch the video below to see how they presented it to us 🍓🔥

Thank you fam for an amazing reunion and week together! We will always remember the fun we had and continue to bask in the memories and photos to get us through until the next time we see each other. Missing all of you sibs A LOT! And Maui, we will be back 😍🌴

Sending big hugs to all of my family, friends, and readers…I have some not-so-easy days being far away, but writing and blogging for you all to see our adventures is one thing that gets me through. Much love, and as always, thank you for your support!
